The Divergence Scanner automatically scans the market for divergences between price and technical indicators. Divergences are signals of a potential trend reversal.
What Are Divergences
A bullish divergence occurs when price makes new lows but the indicator doesn't confirm them (signal of a potential bounce). A bearish divergence occurs when price makes new highs without indicator confirmation.
Monitored Indicators
- RSI: Divergences in the Relative Strength Index
- MACD: Divergences in the MACD histogram
- Volume: Price rising with declining volume (or vice versa)
- OBV: On-Balance Volume diverging from price
Automation: Instead of manually reviewing charts, the scanner analyzes hundreds of stocks and shows only those with active divergences.
